We use 100% wool for your carpet, so it’s important to take good care of it so it always stays nice and tight. Here some info and a few tips you can follow to keep your carpet beautiful for as long as possible:
General events surrounding your carpet
Fluffing up
Fluffing up is something that happens naturally with fluffy pieces and gradually disappears over time by brushing and vacuuming them by hand.
Protruding tufts
It is normal to have protruding tufts in fluffy works. Cut off the protruding tufts with scissors instead of pulling on them, so as not to damage the fluffy piece.
Imprinted pieces
Heavy furniture on your fluffy carpet can flatten the piles and cause dents.
It helps to move the furniture and carpet occasionally to distribute the stress on the carpet. To make exposure to sunlight and wear more even, we recommend rotating the carpet regularly.
Maintenance tips
– Brush or vacuum regularly (twice a week recommended)
– Tampered? remove the stain immediately by dabbing with a cloth without dyes
– Avoid using harsh chemicals to remove stains
– Do not use the carpet in damp areas
– Do not soak in water. This causes the textile glue to lose its strength
– Do not dry clean
‘How to’:
Vacuuming your fluffy piece
If your vacuum has adjustable suction, set it to low and take the time to run the vacuum over each area 3-5 times to remove dust, dirt and hair.
Stains
For dry stains, gently scrape and vacuum away the dirt and stain.
Remove wet stains by using a piece of kitchen paper or a cloth without dyes to soak up the stain. Use lukewarm water and a cloth or sponge to moisten the stain, dab the water on with a cloth and repeat until the stain fades. Do not dip the carpet to preserve the glue that holds the tufts in place.
For greasy or stubborn stains, use a pH neutral and chlorine-free cleaner and follow the steps above.
If in doubt, have your carpet professionally cleaned. Do not dry clean.
