At Tuftlab, you will create a colorful tufted mirror.
Our experienced instructors will guide you through the entire process of the mirror workshop.
Once finished, you’ll take your mirror home immediately.
Perfect for giving your room a personal touch, or as a handmade gift.
The workshop lasts from 11:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and teaches you:
- How to use an electric tuft gun.
- Tufting your own 30x30cm mirror.
- How you finish your mirror to a beautiful end result, at the end of day is finished.

Highly pregnant, retired or physically ill? Keep this in mind because this technique requires quite a bit of energy. You are sometimes sitting but more often working standing. You are cutting a lot with scissors and using a glue gun. The tufting machine weighs 1.4 pounds.

You draw your design on the canvas, choose the colors and start tufting after the explanation.
We have some design rules so it doesn’t get too complex, but you have the freedom to let your creativity run free and make something you like.

We are easily accessible! Tuftlab is located at Johan Van Hasseltweg 12B in Amsterdam Noord.
From Amsterdam Central Station, take Metro 52 one stop to Noorderpark. From there, walk up the stairs, turn right in a straight path to Tuftlab.
Are you coming by car? Parking is available at the door for €1.60 per hour.
Within walking distance of Tuftlab, you’ll find fun places like De Goudfazant, Skatecafe, FC Hyena, Hangar and more. So why not end the day with a delicious drink and snack at one of these waterfront hotspots overlooking the city?

Everything is included for one person! From materials to snacks and drinks.
For the mirror workshop, you may tuft independently from the age of 16.
Between 12 and 15 years only with an adult who can help you. Please note that we also have a recommended height of at least 140cm due to our high work tables.
During the workshop you will make a mirror measuring 30cm by 30cm.
Free cancellation of your reservation is possible up to 2 days in advance. For example, if you have a reservation on Wednesday, we need to know no later than Monday.
If something happens privately within 24 hours or you are simply ill, we fully understand and can move your reservation to another date once.
