Below are our terms and conditions. We also like to summarize the main points for you in human language:
Free cancellation of your reservation is possible up to 2 days in advance. For example, if you have a reservation on Wednesday, we need to know no later than Monday.
If something serious happens in your private life within 24 hours or you are simply ill, we fully understand that and can always move your reservation to another date.
We may reject complex designs if we see that it is not feasible for a beginner. You may, of course, choose something else.
Participation in our workshops is at your own responsibility and risk. By using tools such as a tufting machine, there is the possibility of injuring body parts, so caution is required as well as listening to the safety advice of our instructors.
Terms and conditions:
Article 1: Definitions
In these general terms and conditions workshops are defined as:
- Contractor: Tuftlab, which uses these general terms and conditions to offer services.
- Student: the person who participates in course and/or workshop.
- Services: all services provided by the contractor to the student such as workshop and course.
- Contractor and student together to be referred to as: parties.
Article 2: Applicability of these terms and conditions
a. These general conditions apply to all services offered or provided by the contractor to the student. Deviations from these terms and conditions are valid only if expressly agreed in writing.
b. An agreement relating to taking a course. c.q. workshop is established by oral or written (email) registration by course participant. Upon receipt of full payment, the student will receive confirmation of enrollment.
c. With registration/enrollment, course participant declares to have read the general terms and conditions courses and workshops Tuftlab.
Article 3: Applications and registrations
a. All courses and/or workshops are held subject to sufficient enrollment.
b. Entries will be considered in order of receipt.
Article 4: Cancellation and Modification
a. Cancellation (by email or verbally) is free of charge up to one (2) calendar days before the start of the course/workshop. Up to twenty-four (24) hours prior to commencement, the student will owe 50% payment.
b. Student may always provide their own substitute to take advantage of the workshop.
c. In the event of the student's non-appearance, there will be a refund of 50% per workshop booked.
Article 5: Payment
a. The student must pay the course/workshop fee via bank before the start of the course/workshop or cash/pin on the day of the workshop. If the agreed payment is not punctually fulfilled, this agreement will expire without any notice and the student can no longer claim it. If so, the entire claim is due.
b. Prices are in euros and include statutory VAT unless otherwise indicated.
c. If student misses one or more days of the course and/or workshop they will not receive a refund on the course and/or workshop fees.
d. If course participant is in default of payment, the contractor shall be entitled to dissolve that agreement in whole or in part without judicial intervention, without prejudice to the right of the contractor to claim damages. All extrajudicial collection costs of 15% of the outstanding amount with a minimum of € 70,- shall be borne in full by the student. Such costs shall include the costs of attorneys, bailiffs and collection agencies, which costs shall be determined in accordance with the applicable c.q. usual rates.
Article 6: Cancellation, modification and force majeure by the contractor
If less than four (4) students have registered for a course or workshop, the contractor is entitled to cancel the relevant course or workshop.
Article 7: Liability
a. Any participation in a course or workshop is at the student's own responsibility and risk. By using tools, there is the possibility of injuring body parts, so caution is required. The contractor shall not be liable for damage from any cause to property belonging to and to the student himself.
b. The contractor is not liable for damage or theft of your personal property. The contractor is also not liable for the infliction of any injury by a fellow student before, after or during the course c.q. workshop.
c. The Contractor excludes any liability for damage or accident occurring at the site.
Safety regulations apply as follows:
- You must take seriously and follow the comments around safety from team tuftlab at all times.
- For your own safety, it is recommended to tie long hair in a ponytail, due to the chance of preventing hair in a tuft gun.
- The tuftgun should always be off when not in use.
- Besides the tuftgun, there are other sharp objects in space. Be careful and vigilant of yourself and your belongings at all times.
- Attending the workshop under the influence of (soft) drugs is not permitted.
In addition, you agree to the points below when agreeing to the safety regulations:
- tuftlab is not responsible for damage caused by a tuft gun.
- tuftlab is not responsible for damage caused by other belongings/items in tuftlab's space.
- tuftlab is not liable for any damage suffered as a result of any action taken during the workshop.
- tuftlab is not responsible for the aftercare of the carpets.
- tuftlab is not responsible for "damage" to clothing and other personal interests of trainees.
Article 8: Exclusion from participation
a. In case of non-payment and/or misconduct, the contractor can always refuse or expel student. student will not receive a refund on the course or workshop fees.
Article 9: Intellectual Property
a. To the extent that any copyright, trademark, design, trade name, or other intellectual property rights are vested in the services provided by the contractor in performance of the agreement, the contractor is and shall remain the holder or owner of such rights. The student may use the material carriers of these rights only for the purpose for which they were provided to the student, not reproduce them without written permission and not modify or remove copyright, trademark, model, trade name, and other designations.
Article 10: Execution of the Agreement
a. Agreement entered into with the contractor shall result in an obligation of effort for the contractor, not an obligation to achieve a result.
b. Contractor shall strive to provide scheduled course c.q. workshop to proceed at all times. If, due to circumstances, a particular course c.q. However, if the workshop cannot take place or has to be suspended, the contractor is not liable to the student. Contractor will arrange for a substitute course if possible c.q. workshop. If the contractor is unable to provide a substitute course c.q. workshop, course participant is entitled to partial or full, depending on the part that could not take place, refund of the paid course fee c.q. workshop fees.
Article 11: Complaints - Disputes
a. Any complaints about the course or workshop provided by the contractor should be reported to the contractor orally during or immediately after the course or workshop and also made known to the contractor in writing, stating reasons, no later than 2 days after the course or workshop. Failing this, the student is deemed to have agreed to the course or workshop given.
b. Filing a complaint does not release course participant from the payment obligation.
c. Any agreement between the contractor and the student is governed by Dutch law.
Article 12: Personal Data
By entering into an agreement with the contractor, the contractor is granted permission for automatic processing of personal data obtained from the agreement. The Contractor will use this personal data exclusively for its own operations.
Article 13: Other Provisions
Contractor reserves the right to modify these terms and conditions at any time.
Student, by registering for a course or workshop, declares his/her agreement with the terms and conditions of Tuftlab Workshops and Courses.
