Best tufting workshop in NL
Tuftlab’s tapestry workshop.
New! One of the most fun evening workshops in Amsterdam. During this workshop you will not only be introduced to tufting, but you will also go home with a unique and colorful tapestry that will be an instant eye-catcher in your interior!
At the evening workshop, you choose one of our designs and tuft it into a colorful tapestry during the workshop. Under the guidance of an experienced teacher, a nice atmosphere and unlimited drinks and snacks an ideal outing. At the end, your hand-tufted work of art can go straight on the wall!
The workshop lasts from 6:45 to 9:30 p.m. and teaches you:
- How to use an electric tuft gun.
- How to make a 40×30 cm tapestry.
- How to finish it and take it home the same night.
Choice of various designs.
For this workshop you choose in advance a design from our selection. After making your reservation you will give us your choice, and upon arrival your design will already be stretched on the canvas. The colors? You can choose them yourself during the workshop!

Good to know.
Tufting requires some physical effort; you often work standing up, cutting with scissors and using an electric stapler, among other things. The tufting gun weighs 1.4 pounds.
Minimum 18 years of age.- Unlimited coffee, tea, soft drinks and snacks.
- Easily accessible by public transport.
- Parking costs €1.60 per hour.
- Language: Dutch and English.
- 1st floor: need to climb stairs
- Duration: 2.5 hours.
Groups.
Capacity: This evening workshop accommodates up to 5 people. We intentionally keep the groups small for a cozy and personal atmosphere.

Location.
Tuftlab is located at Johan van Hasseltweg 12B in Amsterdam Noord, and easily accessible.
🚇 By public transport: From Amsterdam Central Station, take Metro 52 to Noorderpark (one stop). Walk up the stairs, turn right and follow the road to Tuftlab.
🚗 By car: Park in front of the door for only €1,60 per hour.
Within walking distance you’ll find great restaurants such as De VerbroederIJ, De Goudfazant, Skatecafé, FC Hyena and Hangar. End the evening with a snack and drink by the water with a beautiful view of the city!
